Modifying the opacity value
- [Instructor] All right, now you may wonder why we have a bunch of full size images sitting on top of each other. And that's because Photoshop allows you to blend images together in order to create effects like this, in which every single layer contributes to the overall composition. And so, I'm going to start by turning off this Face layer, which you can do by clicking on the eye, and then with the Night layer selected notice that we have this opacity value up here in the top right corner of the Layers panel. And you can change that value by dragging on the word Opacity, like so, and that's going to make the selected layer translucent, as we're seeing right here. And so, let's say I go ahead and drag this guy so that the opacity value is 60%. That means we're seeing a kind of mix of these two layers. That is to say, the active layer and any and all layers below. And so, with the opacity value set to 60%, we're…
