- [Instructor] Shortcuts are a great way…to increase your productivity in Photoshop,…especially if you use the same commands…over and over throughout the day.…So for example, wen I choose the File menu,…and we look at the New command,…we can see that there's a keyboard shortcut…that's been assigned by default.…If I use the Command key plus N,…that would bring up the New dialog box on Mac.…It'd be Control + N on Windows.…If I move down to Browse and Bridge,…we can see this first icon here is…the Option key on the Mac, or the Alt key on Windows,…and if I move down to Close and go to Bridge,…that first icon is the Shift key on both platforms.…
But there are a lot of features that don't have…a custom keyboard shortcut by default.…And in fact, there are two of them…under the Window menu.…I am constantly going to Arrange,…and then tiling my windows, and consolidating all to tabs.…Instead of having to find these menu items every time,…I'm gonna use the Edit menu,…and I'll select Keyboard Shortcuts.…I can change the keyboard shortcuts…
