Missing fonts
- [Instructor] A couple of logistical points about how to address missing fonts. Inevitably, I will be using typefaces that are not installed on your machines. I'm using Type from Typekit, so if you have a Creative Cloud subscription, you have access to those typefaces, you will just need to sync the fonts on an as-needed basis. Now when you open up a document that contains a font that is not already installed and it is a Typekit font, then you should see this dialogue box. It's finding a match for it, BalboaPlus online, it realized that this typeface is in the Typekit library, says here Typekit is on. If I look over on my layers panel, I have this warning triangle telling me that the font is missing. I should now be able to just click on resolve fonts, and after a brief pause, the font is synced and the warning triangle goes away. Now if it doesn't work as smoothly for you as that, sometimes Photoshop and Typekit don't communicate with each other as well as you might like, so here…
