- [Instructor] Hello friends, this is Chris Orwig and welcome to another episode of Photo Tools Weekly. This week we are in Photoshop again and here we are again continuing the conversation about layers. And in this episode I simply want to highlight two really valuable shortcuts for merging layers. Let me first show you the layers I have and then tell you the shortcuts. Here's a photograph I captured in Florence from this tower way above and you can see I have a few different layers. Now, if ever you want to merge layers together what you can do is click into one of the layers then hold down the Shift key and click in the other one, or other layers for that matter, two or more, this case we have three layers, to merge those together. The shortcut is Command + E on a Mac, or Control + E on Windows. Now you can see those are all merged together and I could reposition this text or put it in another area, or modify it in some sort of way. Now, this isn't just for text layers this is for…
