- In this movie I'll show you how to…match the natural noise in a photograph,…when applying the various blurs offered by the blur gallery.…So as you can see here…I've got this image that I captured and…I love the smile on Coleen's face.…But we've got some pretty awful…garbage in the background here.…So even though there is a fair amount…of depth of field going on,…I decided to enhance the effect by applying…field blur which is part of the blur gallery.…And if I turn on this smart filter right here,…we can see the effect of that blur.…
So, I've done a pretty good job of reducing…the impact of these background items.…But, if I zoom in on this extreme blur right here,…you can see that it has no noise in it whatsoever.…Which is the way things have been with field blur…since Photoshop CS6.…Whereas, the unblurred portion of the photograph…has quite a bit of noise.…Well now, you can match that noise,…and you can do so pretty dead-on.…So what I'm gonna do here is…double click on this blur gallery item here inside…the layers panel, in order to open that smart filter.…
