Masking in color changes
- [Voiceover] In this movie we'll take a look at how we can expand our tool kit for changing color, and here we'll explore how we can use hue saturation and curves in combination with a tool which is called color range in order to modify specific colors in a photograph. We'll be working with this photo here which I captured in a local coffee shop a couple days ago, and on these vintage flags are names of some of the best surf breaks in the town where I live. What I want to do is change the color of a couple of the flags. Let's start off with this front one right here. To do that we'll reach for hue saturation, and we're gonna use the targeted adjustment tool. As we know, we can click on the color or tone that we want to adjust, in this case the tone of the flag here. I'll drag my hue slider to the left 'cause I want this one to go red, and I'll increase the color saturation a little bit as well. Now as I make these adjustments, I need to double check that I'm not affecting any other…
