Make a puzzle by slicing an image

- [Instructor] Thinking about our images as grids, I want to take this photo, and dismantle it and then put it back together in a different order. And what I mean by that is I'd like to cut it up into nine individual pieces, and then reassemble them. And to do this, I'm going to use the slice tool. The slice tool is intended for converting Photoshop mock ups to HTML, but it doesn't tend to get used for that too much anymore. That's a workflow that has fallen out of fashion. But, we can still use the slice tool to create some interesting results, and I think this might be one of them. So I'm going to start out by coming to the View menu and choosing New Guide Layout. I want to divide my image into three columns and three rows. No gutter space. Then I'll come and choose my slice tool, the slice tool shares the same tool space as the crop tool, and click on the tool options bar where it says Slices From Guides.
