Make the eyes look great
- [Instructor] Here are a couple of ways to add contrast to eyes to make them pop. First, let's add some contrast to the iris. To do that, right click the layer with the eye, the background layer, and choose Duplicate Layer, and click Okay. With the New Copy Layer selected, go to the Blend Mode menu and change it to Soft Light to increase contrast everywhere in the image. Hold Option on the Mac or Alt on Windows and click the Add Layer Mask icon. That creates a black mask on the copy layer that hides the increased contrast everywhere. Now select the Brush tool. Make sure the foreground color box is set to white. If it isn't, press this little icon or X on your keyboard. With a big soft brush paint over the iris and the pupil, increasing the contrast there only. If the effect is to contrasty, reduce the opacity of the copy layer. Now toggle the Eye icon on the copy layer off and on to see the difference you made already.…
