Join Richard Harrington for an in-depth discussion in this video Loading new actions, part of Up and Running with Photoshop Automation.
Previously we took a look at how actions worked.…Let's go ahead and load up some additional…actions to give you an idea of what's possible.…Remember the actions panel has a panel menu in the upper right corner.…In fact just about every panel has that same menu.…And it makes it easy to load additional options.…If I click that, you'll see several…different actions available that you can choose from.…You'll notice here that…I have an additional action between two gray lines.…This action was manually loaded into Photoshop's Presets folder, and…in there you will find a folder called The Actions.…
The location of this folder varies by Operating System.…Any actions that you copy into that will become…available in the pop up menu, if you chose.…But you are not limited.…Remember, you could chose to load these up by picking them…from the individual popup list.…So, for example, may be I would like to…process this, and I have loaded those image effects.…In fact, I have two instances of them.…Let's chose one other a little more dramatic and press…
