Loading an image sequence into Flixel

- Let's move on to a dedicated application, Cinemagraph Pro from Flixel. Now, this is a Mac-only application, but it really serves only one purpose, to create cinemagraphs. As such, its tool set is completely streamlined for the task. The first example is going to be a burst rate of images. This isn't a timelapse. Rather, I shot a high speed burst of a sequence. Let me show you. Now in Flixel, you can drag or drop images in. Let's take a look at the folder here and I'll show you what happened. To start, I had a series of raw files. Let's open these up using a tool like Adobe Photoshop. You can open up several images and you'll see here that compared to where the image started, I was able to do some pretty cool things, bringing up the shadows a little bit to lift it out of the dark while recovering the highlights to protect the detail there in the electricity.
