Loading a brush with multiple colors
- As we've seen, the mixer brush is the smudge tool on steroids, but this brush possesses some additional tricks up its sleeve. The mixer brush's color sampling function actually captures underlying color and paints with it. This capability is common used in conjunction with the bristle tips. In effect, the marks made by the bristle tip are used as a mask through which the colors captured by the mixer brush's color sampler are painted to the screen. If the color sampler has not been invoked, the brush then paints with the current color. Overall, it's a pretty slick setup and we're gonna take a look at it right now. So, I've got the bristle tip here, and right now it's in its form as a standard brush, and if you wanna paint with this, select a color, and that's what it's gonna paint with. If I use the option key on Mac or alt key on Windows, I can hold this down and select a color and it will switch and paint with that color.
