Join Deke McClelland for an in-depth discussion in this video Live healing vs. legacy behavior, part of Photoshop CC 2015 New Features.
- [Voiceover] In this movie we'll take a look at a feature…that was introduced back in June of 2015,…which is when Photoshop CC 2015 first started shipping…and that is live healing.…We'll see that looks like in a moment.…But first I should say that the reason I've waited…a year in order to demonstrate this feature…is that you can now turn it off.…Which provides us with the unique opportunity…to see how the healing brush has evolved over time.…And so I'm gonna go ahead and click and hold…on a spot healing brush, right here,…and then switch to the standard healing brush tool,…because live healing is a function of this tool.…
Then, I'll go ahead and press the alt key…or the option key on a Mac so we get the target icon…and I'll click in the center of the left eye,…this guy's right eye of course,…in order to source that location.…All right, now I'll switch over to…this very colorful gradient…and I'll create a new layer…by pressing control + shift + n…or command + shift on the Mac.…And I'll call this new layer healing…
To start, Deke covers the June 2015 release of Photoshop CC. Tune in and learn how to apply multiply strokes, drop shadows, and other effects to a single layer; work with the new Glyphs panel; trade dynamically linked assets via the Library panel; create multiple artboards in a single document; and preview your designs directly on a mobile device.
