In this video, author Richard Harrington discusses lighting strategies you need to know for creating 360˚ loops.
- While there are many ways to shoot a 360-degree video,…what's ultimately important is that…the environment inside is something that is evenly lit.…Now, one of the simplest ways to do this…is to use a shooting cube.…This type of tabletop photography studio…is very quick to set up.…It essentially folds totally flat…and just uses a series of Velcro…to quickly reassemble and build this out.…Now I've turned the lights off…and let's take a look inside,…and what you'll notice is that…we have a reflective surface here.…
This is essentially a thick Mylar type material,…and what that does is it's gonna easily reflect the light.…Inside is also some paper here,…and that paper is just creating a nice seamless environment.…Now, the benefit of how this all works is that…when this is illuminated, it's gonna be…very easy to go to pure white,…and this makes it an ideal backdrop for social media…because a lot of the pages you're gonna post to are white.…Essentially the video will disappear…and blend right into the white user interface of the page,…
