Lighting a gemstone with two studio strobes

What I'd like to demonstrate now using the same diffusion chamber is a two light set up used to bring a little bit more snap to a gemstone in a necklace. Already styled the necklace. It's within the light chamber already. We'll talk more about styling necklaces in the next movie. What we're going to do. We're going to keep the same main light setting that we used before but we're going to add to it the kicker light. The purpose of the kicker light is to throw extra light into the gemstone, giving it a little bit more sparkle, a little bit more pop in order to magnify, you know, sort of it's, it's beauty, it's color, it's value. kicker light second had we're modifying it with a, grid spot. We put a ten degree grid in here. it's the narrowest of grids, which will really help focus the light into a fairly narrow area. It's got a little spring on the side. And you just place it in the front of the reflector and pop it into place. It locks in place. going to connect this to the power pack…
