"Jumping" an image onto a new layer

- Alright, now we're going to create the texture inside this shark's face and the easiest way to do that is to take this texture over here on the left hand side and duplicate it. And so I'll go ahead and switch over to our single layer document and then I would select this region using the new object selection tool. So dropdown to below the lasso tool right here and you'll see the object selection tool and if it's not visible then you can click and hold on to the tool and choose the object selection tool from the fly out menu. Now you can use the tool as a rectangle as by default, we needed to be a lasso. So I'll switch to the lasso option up here in the options bar and then I'll go ahead and zoom in a little bit, so I can get better view of my image and I'll just go ahead and lasso around this region.
