Isolating a row of trees in the landscape
- In the previous movie we talked about isolating a subject and using the dappled light to highlight that subject. So we had intense light on the trees and shade behind it to make that contrast really pop. In this example, we're gonna isolate a line of trees. Now instead of using light as my friend here, I'm gonna use elements within the scene to complement the trees. I have a series of dark brown, light brown, and green hills, and using that, with the trees, I get complementary subjects. So I'm gonna frame the image here, polarization again, very important. We're gonna go into Live View, lock down our focus, as a reminder, this is a great opportunity to check for any vibration, make sure there's no movement in the screen. I'm on F/11, 1/250th of a second, and here we go. So I'm gonna use my loop to check the image, and by zooming in, I can go corner to corner, and make sure everything is tack sharp.
