- Next up for our creative photography course are textures. Sometimes it's referred to as texture blending, or texture effects. This is the newest technique for me that I've been discovering, and it's been incredible because, like all the techniques in this course, once you get in it, it's just down this rabbit hole. It's so much fun. Now, ideally what we're doing is we're taking an image in the field, the static image, much like you would take if you weren't doing anything beyond just taking that image, and we're going to blend it in post with textures. And you'll see how that looks, once we get to post production. But, first I want to talk about what should we be looking for in the field? Now, anything technically could work, but some of the subjects that can be stronger than others are a lone tree, an abandoned church or a barn, something old, something unique, like a lone subject I think works really well.
