Join Deke McClelland for an in-depth discussion in this video Introducing diffusion for the healing tools, part of Photoshop CC 2015 New Features.
- In this movie,…I'll introduce you to a new option that's available to you…when using the Spot Healing brush,…the Standard Healing brush, or the Patch Tool,…and it goes by the name Diffusion.…And what it does is control the speed…at which the source material blends in with its destination.…And let me show you how it works.…I've gone ahead and created this spherised grid…that should help us see how the healing is occurring.…And it's just a flat image file, by the way.…And now I'm going to go ahead and switch over…to the Spot Healing brush.…Now by default, the type is set to Content Aware,…meaning that if I were to paint…along this edge, for example,…Photoshop is going to automatically select source material…from all over the image file…and it does so with a fair degree…of artificial intelligence.…
But to see the new Diffusion option,…we had to switch the Spot Healing brush…back to its old behavior…by selecting Proximity Match,…which sources pixels that are very near to the brush stroke.…And now notice that we have this new option…
