- Hi, this is Jan Kabili for Photo Tools Weekly.…This week we're gonna talk about Instagram.…You probably know Instagram as the popular mobile app…for creating photos with a vintage look and sharing them.…For a long time the classic Instagram image…had a retro, tinted look that came from a handful…of popular one-click Instagram filters.…What you may not know is that…Instagram has evolved as an editing app.…And now it offers a complete set of editing tools…that are separate from its filters.…
You can use Instagram's editing tools…to make traditional photo adjustments…to tone, color, sharpness, and more.…These tools make Instagram one of my go-to editing apps…even when I don't want a retro look to a photo.…Let me show you how to use the tools in Instagram…for a straight-up photo editing.…Here on my iPhone 6, I'll click the Instagram app.…And that takes me to the stream of photos…from people that I'm following.…I'll tap the camera icon at the bottom of the app.…From here I could either take a photo…or I can tap the icon on the left to access my camera roll.…
