- In this lesson we'll be improving…the tonal balance and fine-tuning the color.…The area of the image I want to concentrate on…to start with is the left hand side of the image.…It's still very faded and the dark tones…need improving and contrast.…So I'm going to select the burn tool…with shadows at 20% with a large brush…and burn those in.…Very quick few swipes of the brush…will sort that out.…We also need to tackle the paint work.…Now the paint work is a funny color.…We've got a blue color cast appearing,…or a cyan color cast appearing.…
I'm going to address that in general terms…with a quick mask.…I'm going to select the gradient tool…so that we can select a feathered selection…across the middle of the image here…on the left hand side where that is occurring.…Remove the quick mask and go image,…adjustments, and hue saturation to reduce…the saturation of our target color,…which is cyans.…Reduce the saturation and improve the likeness…here so that we can add some contrast…into that area.…At the same time, we now need to remove…
