- [Instructor] Alright our next project is to take…the New York City skyline and wrap it around itself…to create this industrious little planet.…And the first step is to use the offset filter…to essentially make New York City repeat endlessly…so that we can wrap it around Jupiter…without seeing any seams.…Alright, so I'll go ahead and switch back…to the skyline image, we need to convert it…to a smart object by first converting the background…to an independent layer which you can do by double-clicking…the background here inside the layers panel.…If you loaded D keys, you also have that shortcut…of Ctrl + Shift + Alt + N here on a PC,…or Command + Shift + Option + N on the Mac.…
I'm going to go ahead and name this layer…after the filter we'll be using on it…which is offset and then I'll click Ok.…By right-clicking in the image window…with a rectangular marquee tool, and then choosing…Convert object, or if you loaded D keys,…you have the shortcut Ctrl + Comma…or Command + Comma on the Mac.…Alright now we need to figure out how big our image is…
