How do I crop to a specific ratio?
- Cropping is the ability to size an image to a particular shape, and Photoshop offers several different controls within the crop tool to let you be as specific as you want. Let's take a look. To select the crop tool, just press the letter c. You'll notice that the crop tool is active, and across the top are several options. If you click on the dropdown menu here, you'll see that there are several presets available. This allows you to crop to a specific size. For example, a five by seven inch print. Now once you've made these choices, you'll notice that it loads it in to the top info bar here. If you want to swap the width and height, just click the button here and the two values will switch places, going from a seven by five to a five by seven.
