How color channels work
- [Instructor] Alright, now let's take a look at how the color channels work. That is to say, how do the red, green, and blue channels interact in order to create the full color composite. Alright, so I'll go ahead and switch back to the layers panel, I'll turn off that dreams time layer, and notice that I have a few additional layers, including this swatches layer right here, and so I'll go ahead and turn that layer on, and notice what we have here is a series of primary colors. And to see what those colors are, I'll go ahead and turn on the swatch labels group. And notice that we've got one swatch each, for red green and blue, and because these are representatives of the RGB image that is red green and blue channels, I've gone ahead and formatted these words in bold. The regular type labels indicate secondary colors, that are based on the RGB primaries, and so if you were to mix green and blue together, you would get cyan, if you mixed red and blue together, you end up getting…
