Grid types

- [Narrator] In this movie, I'm going to talk about three types of grid, the document grid, the pixel grid, and the transparency grid. First of all, the document grid, which actually is just referred to as the grid. And we turn this on from the view menu, and to show, and then choose grid. Or, keyboard shortcut command or control apostrophe. So, that's going to divide your canvas into a specified number of increments, and we can come to our preferences, guides, grid, and slices, and choose how often we have one of those grid lines. So, I'm going to change it now, just to one inch. And we can also change the color as well if we want to. What we can't do with the document grid is we can't turn it on an angle so that we can have a diagonal grid like we can in illustrator, but what I like about the grid in Photoshop is that it doesn't cover the pasteboard, it's just confined to the canvas, or to the art board.
