Getting photos from a camera

Let's start by learning to download your images from a digital camera. Of course, you can do this through the operating system, but by using Adobe Camera Downloader, we can add important information to the files as we download them. So, to launch the downloader, I'm going to click on this little icon here, with the camera and the downward-pointing arrow, and Bridge is going to ask me If every time I insert a card into a card reader and plug that into my machine if bridge should automatically load or launch this photo downloader. I don't want it to do it every time so I'm going to click No.

Now, here at the top, Photo Downloader has automatically detected that card in the card reader, so we can see that card listed right here. If you don't have a card plugged in, then i'tll just say, None Detected here. I can tell the Downloader where I want to save these files by clicking on Choose.
