Fixing texture map problems
One problem that you might run into with texture maps is that some programs interpret texture maps flipped or rotated relative to other programs. If this happens you'll see in the canvas that the texture just doesn't apply correctly. In this video I'll show you how to fix this, along with a few other tips and tricks. So in this exercise file the texture is applied correctly for now. However, let's see what happens if we try to import a texture that's been exported from a different program and it's flipped in the wrong way. So let's go to our 3D tab. Let's make sure we've got the shading group for the reptiloid select. And let's go up to Diffuse. And I am going to hit Replace Texture. So let's make sure we have got Exercise Files > Chapter 1 > Movie 06 and let's load in reptiloid color from this folder. Okay, so you can see that does not look right. Let's fix this. So let's go back over to Diffuse, and let's open up the options for this material. What I want to do is go to Edit…
