- [Instructor] Now let's look at some ways to use the tools built into Photoshop to correct image exposure issues. Now, unlike the Camera Raw techniques that we looked at in the last movie, these techniques will be destructive changes, meaning that, as we commit each change, the pixels in your image will be rewritten. So it's a good idea to always work off of a copy of your original image when making changes such as this. Now let's begin with this image of these desert plants that, at first glance, looks to be unsalvageable. We'll start by opening up our histogram panel by going up to the Window menu and choosing "Histogram". Then click the hamburger menu in the upper-right of the panel, and select "Expanded View" to get a better look at our histogram. Now this histogram works just like the one that we just saw in Camera Raw, but in Photoshop, you may need to periodically click the refresh button in order to fully update all of your composited changes.
