Chris Mattia teaches you the basics of making quick work of correcting common image exposure issues in Photoshop. With just a few clicks, your images will be looking great and ready to share with your class.
- [Instructor] Now let's look at some ways to use the tools…built into Photoshop to correct image exposure issues.…Now, unlike the Camera Raw techniques…that we looked at in the last movie,…these techniques will be destructive changes,…meaning that, as we commit each change,…the pixels in your image will be rewritten.…So it's a good idea to always work off of a copy…of your original image when making changes such as this.…Now let's begin with this image of these desert plants…that, at first glance, looks to be unsalvageable.…
We'll start by opening up our histogram panel…by going up to the Window menu and choosing "Histogram".…Then click the hamburger menu…in the upper-right of the panel,…and select "Expanded View"…to get a better look at our histogram.…Now this histogram works just like the one that we just…saw in Camera Raw,…but in Photoshop,…you may need to periodically click the refresh button…in order to fully update all of your composited changes.…Now from the looks of this histogram,…it's clear that this image is woefully underexposed.…
