One of the most powerful adjustments you can use when performing primary image adjustments is a Curve. It remaps the tonal values, but unlike Levels where you have only three sliders, you have more control points. In this video, Richard Harrington demonstrates how to use a Curve to correct an image in Adobe Photoshop CC.
