Fill vs. Opacity
in Photoshop is the difference between fill and opacity. Often I see them used interchangeably in a lot of projects. can help you when building your projects with a pure type layer as well. Now with this layer selected, a lot of people look up here and they see opacity and they see fill, and they start experimenting. They're like, okay, well if I drag the opacity slider down, I'm reducing the opacity, and eventually it will fade to nothing. it will fade to nothing. Okay, that makes sense. Well then what does fill do? So they click on that, they drag it down, and as they do, they start to see the same behavior. Now a lot of people don't even question the problem. They just use one or the other, and they're done with it. To see the true difference between fill and opacity, we need to apply a layer effect to this layer.
