Exporting a GIF-based animation from Flixel

- When creating animated GIFs or JIFs, there are lots of compromises. These tend to have dramatically lower frame rates and image quality. The GIF format can easily be attached to things like email campaigns, or embedded for use on websites that are consumed by older web browsers that don't support video. In this case I'll choose File, Export, and let's create the animated GIF. You'll notice the ability to adjust the size. So, you have different options here. From half, third and quarter, all the way up to full size. A 4k animated GIF is going to be obnoxious. So, let's drop that down to a third size. There's no need to adjust the looping because a GIF automatically loops. So I'll click next and I'll click Export. The new GIF is optimized. Unlike other applications where you can down sample the number of colors, Flixel is going to include the maximum number of colors that it deems necessary. Likely, 256 colors, that's supported by the GIF format. Let's export the electricity here as…
