Exporting a GIF with Adobe Media Encoder

- While Adobe After Effects can not directly create a gift file. You can create one through Adobe Media Encoder. Let me show ya. These files have been rendering here. So I'm simply going to take one that's already complete and add another output module. Over here in the preset browser. Just type in the type of preset you're looking for. Such as gift. And you'll see that you have a few choices here. A gift sequence or an animated gift. I'm a choose to make an animated gift which will create an animation. There it is. Let's delete away the one we don't need. Let's click stop in the render queue. And we'll add the animated gift to the file. There we go. If I click on the blue text here I can make adjustments. So, you see we've got the quality here and the ability to resize. So if I don't want a 4K animated gift I can set a new width of let's say 600 pixels. And everything else adjusts. Looking at my other options here. I'm satisfied. And I will click okay. That's targeted to the same folder. So I click save. And click the play button and the animated gift is rendered. This is a great way to easily convert. Now the file will take a little bit of time but once it's complete you'll have a gift in your targeted folder. Remember, you can click the output file path to navigate to the folder to quickly find the assets once they're created.
