- [Instructor] Photoshop has a powerful text engine that makes adding type to documents quick and intuitive. In this lesson, we're going to learn how to add point text and then refine it using the Options bar. So we're going to create our headline type by selecting the type tool. I'll tap the T key. And there are a number of different type tools. The first two will give us type layers. The next two only give us selections. So I'm going to stick with the horizontal type tool. I want to set up my font options in the Options bar. You can either select the typeface and then start typing to select a font, or we can select a font from a list. For right now, I'm going to leave it set to Myriad Pro and then change the type size. I can do this by either using the scrubby sliders, or I can select a type size from the list, or I can just enter in the type size that I want.
