Enhancing portraits with Face Aware Liquify

- Photoshop has a useful tool called Liquify that allows you to move pixels around as if they were putty. Now, when used correctly it can be used for subtle enhancements to a portrait, such as turning up the corners of the mouth for a gentle smile, or lifting the nose slightly. Think of it as lightweight plastic surgery. Now if you overdo it, it's really obvious. But a light touch works well. Let's open up a JPEG here into Photoshop and I'll invoke Liquify. Before doing though, I suggest converting for Smart Filters so that you can reedit the results. Now, we'll choose Liquify. Photoshop analyzes and finds the face. As you see here, it was able to detect key areas in the face such as the mouth, the nose, the eyes, et cetera. Let's go ahead and link the eyes so that as we make adjustments to one, the other will change. I've zoomed in a little bit here so it's easier to see and we can maximize this window. Let's hold…
