Editing a water image to bring out fall color

- Now, before we start editing this image, I'd like to look at the settings. And we can see that in the upper right. We have an ISO of 100, 200 millimeters, F22 at 0.6 seconds. It's a relatively long exposure, and that's a shutter speed I love to get texture and movement in rapids. And so I'm really happy with 6/10ths. It's a sweet spot for me. F22, you may be thinking, wow, you know, that's such a small aperture. Aren't you gonna deal with a little bit of loss of quality, defraction? But the issue here, is, I'm using a very long lens and shooting across a river. So there's a lot of depth in this scene. And even if we zoom in here to the center, it looks very sharp, but if I move up to the top, you start to see a little bit of softness. And a little bit of softness at the bottom. And what that tells me is, there's no aperture to achieve maximum depth of field, so taking it to F22 gave me the best possible compromise so I can get as much sharp as possible.
