- Let's explore one of our first looping techniques and that is to create a ping-pong effect where we duplicate a clip and then reverse it. In the footage folder here, one of our shots had a great overlook. I like the one here of them looking but clearly it doesn't create smooth motion. Let's drop that into a New Composition. You see we have our clip. A composition is simply a document within your project. We'll call this Overlook Loop. Now, looking at this, what I see, is that we've got our initial shot. But we're going to make this a little longer. So, using the Composition Settings, Composition, Composition Settings, I'll assign a new duration. Let's go with 12 seconds. 1200 for now and click OK. You'll notice if we open this up that we have more parts to the clip. What I want to do now is duplicate this and reverse it. So with the layer selected, I'll choose Edit, Duplicate.
