- I'm out here in Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada which I've never heard of before, and it's fantastic! This is a great spot! And so I'm doing what I do out in the desert, I'm walking around looking for pictures. And I'm doing it, of course, by looking for good compositions and looking for the good light. It's late in the afternoon and, so, I'm waiting for that contrast to hit, and I'm expecting that some of these forms are gonna be easier to compose with once they become more saturated with color, once I see more contrast. So far it's just flat. So I'm thinking, I just gotta stand out here in the heat, for a little bit longer, until the light changes. But then something caught my eye, and I turned and looked this way into the sun. Rather than looking at what the sun was illuminating over there, I started looking back this way, and wow!
