Creative blurring along a Path
- [Instructor] We're going to spend a few moments creating motion in an image using the Path Blur filter. This image of the iceberg was photographed on a small Zodiac, so it would have been very difficult to keep the iceberg sharp during a long exposure. From the Filter menu, I'm going to convert the background to a smart object by choosing Convert for Smart Filter, and then choose Filter and then Blur Gallery and then Path Blur. Photoshop will automatically add a path in the center of the image. I can use the speed slider in order to determine the amount of blur in the image, I can reposition the anchor point in order to change the direction of the blur, and I can change the midpoint here to adjust the path of the motion. All right, I'll undo that using command + z and then just reposition this a little bit lower. If I want to add another point, I can just click anywhere on the path and then reposition it.
