Creating mask layers
- [Instructor] This is our drawing, and based on that, I'd now like to create a couple of mask layers. That will be of great help in the illustration process that we'll follow later. So I will close up the drawing folder here in the layers palette, and I will add a new folder. It should sit below the drawing, and I will call it Masks. So here's a new layer. All right, this is our first layer for the first mask I'm going to create. And when I say mask, I basically mean a bunch of layers that contain different parts of the illustration, based on the drawing that we have here. And there are several ways to create these layers. You could try to use the magic wand if your drawing is really clean, but even my clean up drawing is still a little bit rough here and there. So I prefer to use the polygonal lasso tool. And I will just start using the polygonal lasso tool here on the head, so my goal now is to create a selection of only the head of this little creature here. And, actually I always…
