Creating a double-exposure effect
- [Instructor] All right, now I'm going to show you how to create a classic, double exposure effect, as we're seeing right here. And once again, it's just a matter of using a couple of blend modes. All right, so I'll go ahead and switch over to this composition and with the Night layer selected, so bear in mind that blend modes always affect the selected layer, I'm going to click on the word Normal right here, and I will switch to the best darkening mode of all, which is Multiply, and notice what happens. Photoshop goes ahead and absolutely drops out those white edges. So, just so we can see the difference, this is Normal with that white frame and those white speckles inside that blue field, and this is Multiply in which all the whites disappear. And so, if you want an analogy, imagine that the Night layer is on one transparency while the background is on another, and you're placing one on top of another, on a light…
