- [Voiceover] Hi, I'm Steve Caplin and I'm going to show you how to make a realistic 3D type object using Photoshop CC. We'll start with the basics of turning some text into 3D and then we'll go ahead and see how we can manipulate it within 3D space. We'll see how to change it's depth, how to add bevels and other surface effects, and how to change it so it appears to be made of different textures. We'll look at adding a background that's part of a 3D scene and we'll see how to turn our text into glass so that the background reflects and refracts through it.
The good news is that you don't need to have any prior knowledge of working with 3D modeling in Photoshop in order to complete this course. Sure, you do need to know your way around Photoshop, but every step will be explained along the way. You won't learn all there is to know about 3D, but you will learn enough to allow you to head off in your own direction and to start to explore the extraordinary world of 3D modeling in Photoshop for yourself.
