- [Instructor] Before we get going, let's set up a type friendly workspace. I'm currently in the essentials workspace, which is the default, and I am going to modify this and add some type panels that are not currently open, and close some of these existing panels. So first of all, I'm going to tear off history and close that, and here we have properties, which I'm going to drag next to swatches. Bear in mind, this reflects my own personal preferences, you don't need to do it exactly like me. Once you have been working with type for a while, you'll get a sense of which panels you want open and readily accessible. Let's tear off learn and libraries, and then down at the bottom here I have layers, channels, and paths. I'm going to tear off and close channels, layers and paths I'm going to move to the top, and I'll move adjustments in with them, and now I'm going to come to the type menu and to panels, open up the character panel, which comes grouped with the paragraph panel, and I'll…
