Create strobe effects with the Spin Blur filter
- [Instructor] Let's take a look at how we can use strobe effects both with a path blur and a spin blur and I'll begin with the path blur. Convert my layout to a smart object and come to my Filter menu, Blur Gallery, Path Blur. I'm going to drag the path direction to correspond to the direction of the tram and then pull up the center point as well. So, if I increase the speed, let's say I want to go up to 200, that's the kind of effect I'm going to get which looks quite interesting. But I'm going to turn off Centered Blur so that the blur is moving in one direction only. Now look what happens if I turn on my strobe strength. When I take that up to 100%, I currently have four strobe flashes and we can see four impressions of this image. Now, four I think in this case is a bit too much, so I'm going to take it down to two and I can affect the distance of the strobe flash from the original with the speed or the end point speed.
