- Here's a copy of our logo, and now…we're going to see how we can turn these separate parts…into a single unified object.…I'm going to load this up with a selection…by holding Command as a macro control on the PC,…and clicking on the thumbnail in the Layers panel.…And there it is.…One way to expand this would be to go…to the Select menu and to choose Modify, Expand.…We would have to guess on how much to expand this.…
But if we do expand it by, say, 20 pixels,…first of all we have to guess at the radius,…and secondly, we tend to get rather jagged edges…when we do this.…Photoshop doesn't expand particularly well in this way.…So let's undo that, and here's another approach.…If we switched to one of the Selection Tools, we'd now…get the Refine Edge button appearing on the Options Bar.…Let's click that.…And here we are viewing the object…against a white background.…
Let's change, so we're viewing it not on black or white,…but as black and white, in other words,…we're viewing just a selection.…The selected area is white, the unselected area is black.…
