Combining your refined layer masks
- [Narrator] Alright, so so far we've got 3 different versions of an identical photograph that are needed in order to form this composition. That's kind of a waste, and it's ungainly. And so, what I mean by that is, because we've got the jacket in one layer and the hood on the other, if I were to accidentally move this blend layer to between the two, like so, then we're gonna end up with this crazy glow running through her hands. And this is the kind of thing that happens all the time, inside complex compositions. You spend all of your time focusing on your hood, for example, then you send off the file thinking everything looks great and the next day you're like what in the world is this? And so, the moral of the story is if a layer isn't really contributing to things you should probably get rid of it. And so, I'm gonna move that blend layer back into place so we don't have that glow and I'm gonna combine the layer masks for the jacket and hood layers on a single layer so that we can…
