Combining alpha channels to make a mask

- [Instructor] In this movie I'll show you how to combine two alpha channels to create a final mask, and we'll be doing so, once again, using the calculations command. Now I want you to take a moment, assuming that you're working along with me, to select your jacket channel, and then go ahead and turn on the hood channel as well, so that you can see that you channels at the same time. And I want you to zoom in on this area right here. Notice that it is quite jagged. This little region of hair is quite jagged in the jacket channel, but it looks a lot better in the hood channel. And so even though the jacket channel is selected, I can turn it off so we can look at the hood channel instead. So what I want you to do is go ahead and make sure the jacket channel is active, and that you can see the hood channel at the same time. Then, go ahead and switch to the brush tool, which you can get by pressing the B key. Make sure the mode is set to normal, the opacity is 100 percent, and that…
