Join Chris Orwig for an in-depth discussion in this video Colorizing the background with Hue/Saturation, part of Photoshop: Creative Blurring.
In this movie, we'll take a look at how we can modify or…change the color of the background of this project.…And we'll also explore how we can add a Blur Effect which is…called a Tilt Shift blur to the entirety of the photograph.…All right, well let's begin with color.…Here you can see in our Layers panel we have three layers.…We have the original background, the layer where we have the blur applied here, and…then the top layer where we just have the subjects masked, or…removed from the background.…Well what we're going to do is to click into this Blur layer,…then we are going to add a Hue Saturation Adjustment layer which will give us…the ability to modify the color of the blurry area of the image.…
So click into the Blur layer.…Then in the Adjustments panel you'll want to click on the icon for…Hue Saturation, it's right here.…This will open up our Hue Sat dialog.…Now you can either change color by simply dragging the slider around, or…if you want a more uniform effect, which is what I want to do here,…
