Now we’ll begin to apply our SmartObject colors into our layout. We’ll create a copy, by duplicating the color layer and dragging it into the main story group. With the layer selected, we’ll change the opacity to see the element on the layer underneath. We’ll transform the color layer to cover the artwork of the layer below. Then we’ll create a clipping mask of the color layer into the bar element. We’ll repeat this process for the headline.
