Join Chris Orwig for an in-depth discussion in this video Cleaning up the neck, part of Photoshop CS5: Fashion Retouching Projects.
At this stage of our workflow what I want to do now is start to work on some…of the other details here in particular the neck and also some of the flyaway hairs.…So let's create a new layer.…Press Shift+Command+N on a Mac, Shift+Ctrl+N on Windows.…Let's name this c2.…Next here we will zoom in and then we will press the J key to select our Healing Brush.…Well what you can do to change your Brush Size is you can right-click or Ctrl+Click.…That gives you this little Brush dialog.…Here what I will do is just increase the brush size a little bit, I am going to…use a nice circle size brush, and I want it to be just a little bit bigger than…the blemish area including the shadows. So it's actually you have to use a…pretty big brush there.…
I will go ahead and click off that, and then Option or Alt+Click click on a nice source area.…Make sure I am retouching to all layers. I am, and then go ahead and just…paint over those areas.…Now again we have to keep in mind that with this type of work these…wrinkles aren't just the little shadow side of the wrinkle, but there is also a highlight side.…
