Join Chris Orwig for an in-depth discussion in this video Cleaning up flyaway hair, part of Photoshop CS5: Fashion Retouching Projects.
So far we have been exploring how we can clean up small details. We are going to…continue to do that here.…In particular now we are going to look at the inner edge of the hair.…We are going to try to clean up some of these flyaway hairs that we are seeing.…You may notice that our layers are a little bit unorganized.…Well they are unorganized because what we are going to do eventually is…merge this altogether.…Yet for good form it may be a good idea to name this top layer. This is the…layer where we worked on a lot of these fly away edges, so I am going to go…ahead and just call this one fly away 2.…Next let's create a new layer. Shift+ Command+N on a Mac, Shift+Ctrl+N on Windows.…
What I am going to do here is just name this one c3 for cleanup three.…Next I will zoom in a little bit closer here and then I will press s for…the Clone Stamp tool.…Normal blending, real low opacity, just make my brush nice and small, and just…look to start to retouch some of these areas out.…What you are going to want to do is experiment with your brush size.…
